Howard P. Broughton Jerry Roman

Roman Chariot, a Cleveland Ohio company founded in 1961 announces the transfer of ownership to Mr. Howard P. Broughton. Mr. Broughton has owned and operated several companies as President and CEO and now takes the helm as President of Roman Chariot. Mr. Broughton developed an interest in cars at an early age as a backyard mechanic, mainly modifying engines to increase horsepower. He has replaced everything from engines, transmissions to brakes and differentials. He also brings a wealth of experience from his tenure as a NASA engineer, medical equipment developer, and his service in the US Army where he managed a large transportation company. Mr. Broughton graduated with a BS in Imaging Science from Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH. His specialty is marketing and operations management.

Founded by Jerry Roman in 1961, Roman Chariot became a nationally recognized leader in the automotive restyling industry. Mr. Roman began his accomplished career by installing a black and white TV in the roof of his mother's 1953 Oldsmobile Holiday. He subsequently formed a group of customizers called the "Custom Kings". While utilizing this passion for restyling cars, he then assisted in developing and popularizing many of the accessories you see on cars and trucks today. Some of these innovations include the installation of electric sunroofs, t-tops, mock tops, chrome grills and fender parts, just to name a few.

Roman Chariot was nationally recognized as the restyling center of the year. The distinguished Jerry Roman, has been personally been established as the "Restyler of the Year" and an "All-Star Pioneer" by Restyling and Accessory News Magazine in 1997.

Roman Chariot is excited to begin the fifth decade providing the same excellent service and workmanship that has continued for the last 46 years with its highly skilled and trained staff to maintain the quality and customer value everyone has expected. Along with its renewed emphasis on marketing and consumer education, the company plans to increase sales to retail customers as well as to automobile dealerships.
